Extreme Sport: Big Wave Surfing

I used to surf since I was 6 years old, so if you ask me to choose an extreme sport, I think I would always choose surfing.
Surfing is a passion, it is something that makes you feel powerful and alive at the same time; when you take your wave perfectly and you can feel the whole sea growing up with you as if you were a part of the ocean:  There is nothing to compare to this.
But surfing is not just standing on a board and riding the waves.  There are a lot of preparations before to get you ready to surf.
One of the most important parts of surfing is to get warmed up, both physically and mentally.  This is the part where you realize what you are going to do… According to my own experience, even though I am not a surfer legend, it is important to get prepared on the beach in front of the sea, in front of the waves you are going to catch.
Why? Because this moment helps you to concentrate on yourself and it also helps your adrenaline to kick in, which is always a really good thing for people who need to do the best they can do.
And then comes the moment when the surfer goes to the sea.  That first step, the sensation of the water on your skin, cold at first, and then warm like the water is taking the same temperature as you, or you are taking the same temperature as the sea.  At this time, there are no differences between you and the sea; the adrenaline is still there and possibly even more present than before.  And now you are in the moment, waiting for the good wave, the one you are going to catch, as if you are waiting for the most important moment of your life, because that is what it is at that moment. And when you find it, you stop thinking; you are just focus on riding the wave.
There is something inside you, inside your soul when you are surfing a “big wave”.  The wave demands so much focus, so much attention, that it becomes the only thing that matters.

The Dupriez's Team

Well, when I say "team" I mean "family" because today we suppose to talk about our family.
It's a king if complicated o talk about my family so I'll just start by introduce my family to you:

First, there are my parents, the leaders of the team, who are always there for everybody in the house. And then, children: my 3 older brothers and I, the younger and only one girl. We had a dog before, called Bob in tribute to Bob Marley of course (my brother's idea),but he died few years ago... He was a very good dog, a good guard for our house, very friendly (well, I don't really know if it's a sentence correct for a dog).

It means one month that I here in New York, so it means one month that I can't see them. Well, I'm lying because thanks to Internet I can see them every weeks on Skype, and talk with them, so... But anyway I really miss them, so much!

Second post: My goals.

Ok, I wrote my first post one week ago and I'm still here ! OMG this is a miracle !
Well, I already forgot my password, so I had to change it; and I think that it's gonna be the same way every weeks.

Anyway, I suppose to talk about my goals today. Uhm, ok my goals...
Well I'm only 17 and to be honest I think my "goals" are just a kind dreams that I want to realise. I mean, it's difficult to known exactly what you wanna be or what you wanna do, later.
But I have some interest: photography, travel, arts, literature... Well, to be short: I just love to do many things in my days. And if I have to choose my career today I probably ask you to pay me to travel all around the world and take photos from my trips ! OMG it would be amazing !

Here I am, my first post on my blog.

I don't know if I'll continue this blog (because I'm the kind of girl who forget everything, even my passwords...) but my EF teacher told us to create a blog to talk about our EF exeprience, so...
It could be an interesting thing to do, so for the first time of my life I gonna have a blog and try to do this well.

I don't really know what am I supose to do: maybe just introduce myself ?
Well, my name's Anna, I'm 17 and I come from Reunion Island (a very little French Island, in the Indian Ocean); but I'm actually in New York, at the EF Campus in Tarrytown for 9 months.

I don't really like to talk about myself, so I just gonna stop for today, and continue later to talk to you about my trip and my EF Experience.

See u soon.
